Description for Gite

Nestled in the charming village of Devay with stunning views of the Loire, we invite you to experience the warmth of our lovingly restored farmhouse.

Our gîte features five spacious, farm-themed rooms, including a family room with accessibility for disabled guests. Each room is equipped with a private shower and toilet for your convenience.

The farmhouse comfortably accommodates up to 14 guests (with a maximum of 12 adults and 2 children). Enjoy the serene ambiance on our west-facing terrace, surrounded by lush greenery, or relax on the covered south-facing terrace overlooking a tranquil wooded garden, perfect for enjoying the coolness of summer. Start your day with our homemade breakfasts served in peaceful seclusion.

Situated in the heart of the countryside along the EV6 EuroVelo route, which stretches from the Atlantic to the Black Sea, we are just 5 km (a 15-minute ride) from the Nivernais Canal.

Distances from La Chaume en Loire include:

- 4 km from the Loire River
- 9 km from Decize train station
- 30 km from the thermal spas at Bourbon Lancy or Saint Honoré les Bains
- 40 km from the PAL amusement and leisure park in Saint Pourçain-sur-Besbre
- 40 km from Moulins
- 40 km from the Magny-Cours racing circuit
- 45 km from Nevers

Our commitment to sustainability is evident, as the building’s heating and water systems are powered by solar energy and methanization.

You’ll enjoy a peaceful and welcoming stay, surrounded by opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing, and discovering the rich wildlife and flora of the Loire – Europe's last wild river.

Depending on the season, you can join us for fishing excursions in the Loire, crayfish hunting in the Morvan, or mushroom foraging, with the option to cook or preserve your finds on site.

We can also arrange a delightful picnic for you along the Loire's banks or amidst the forest, tailored to your walking or cycling journey, or a canoe adventure on the Loire.

We look forward to hosting you and inspiring a lasting connection to this beautiful region.
